The name “Bubu” comes from the Korean word for "married couple," which perfectly represents us: two people who have come together to share our passions with the world. Byungjun’s love for food and my passion for skincare have merged to create a unique experience where self-care, food, and beauty meet.

I’ve been using Korean skincare for over 15 years, and it’s been a journey I’ve loved every step of the way. As a graphic designer, I’ve had the privilege of working with various Korean beauty brands, blending my creativity with a deep love for skincare. Living with two autoimmune diseases has also given me a unique understanding of medicine and chemistry, which fuels my dedication to offering safe, effective products that truly make a difference.

Our story doesn’t stop there. We wanted to bring the same care and love we have for food and skincare into one shared space. That’s why we combined Bubudang – our restaurant where Byungjun’s passion for food comes to life – with Bubustore, a place where I can share the beauty of Korean skincare. Together, we aim to offer products and experiences that nourish both the body and the soul.
